First Concert of my Life=Awesome Experience+Feels

I started to get into modern music when I was fifteen. It all started with the radio played in the art room and that's how I begin to know various artists. Daughtry is one of them and their big hit "Feels Like Tonight" got me following them through social media and eager to follow up with their new albums and music videos.

So when I first spotted an advertisement on the top corner of a bus one morning (a month before tonight-August 27), I was surprised to see Daughtry listed as one of the performers at The Fair in PNE theme park in Vancouver. At first, I thought I should go to see them since I'd never been to a concert before in my life and I should take a break from work. And besides, it's summer! But then a thought came to me, what if I had work at that time? I was a little hesitant when I got home that evening. I debated myself whether I should grab my credit card, ask my mom for permission before using it, and click on the PNE website to buy the Fair Gate Pass and reserve a seat since the amphitheater might be full. A few days later, I'd decided to purchase the price. I prayed and held on to it, hoping that I could go to the concert to see my favourite rock band live.

And two weeks before today, the schedule for my upcoming shifts was pinned on the board of the IHOP kitchen in Coquitlam. My hands were a little shaky as I reached out to flip the papers. Once my eyes scanned through the dates, I almost screamed when I saw the box under August 27. I had a day off on August 27!!!

And so, since yesterday after work, I was really excited that I had my attire for the night ready. My father dropped me off at the PlayLand an hour before the concert. And that was my first time entering in the theme park. It was huge! There were like tons of rides and booths but I tried not to get distracted. I ended up having a Cheddar Bacon burger at Triple O's before the concert.

It's a pity that the camera on my new phone can't zoom in super close but Daughtry sounded amazing since the beginning of the concert! I was like whoa after seven years of loving their music on Youtube and other sites, I've finally get to see the band right in front of me. It was just spectacular! The energy, the enthusiasm, the cheers, everything I expect in a concert was all there!
First, they sang "Baptized".
Then, they sang the first song that got me into their music "Feels Like Tonight".

Then, Crawling Back To You.

Then, Over You.

Then, Chris himself did a cover of "Radioactive" by Coldplay. And then, they performed Battleship, Home, Life After You, What About Now, and Waiting for Superman. Unfortunately, there's an error while uploading the other clips from my phone. >.<

Anyway, one moment that fascinated me was when Chris told us a story of him worked with a terrible boss when he first joined American Idol years ago. He wrote a song called Home and a lot of people rejected his song until some artist decided to take the song in. Seriously, who could hate that song?? It's kind of like being kicked out from a job you hate but to me, the song reminds me that there is no place like home.

Overall, the concert was one of the best nights of my life! Thank you, Daughtry for coming to Vancouver! :D <3 Look forward to your next album!
